Hi,
My ancient jod boots are about ready to give up the ghost and have started leaking. Have been looking around and have no idea what to get! Are the more expensive ones really worth it? Seems I can get a leather pair for anything from £16 to about £120!!! Can there really be such a difference? I like the elastic ones so I don't have to faff with laces (am lazy) and they need to come in brown and be leather, so I don't need to bother getting new chaps I don't need. This still leaves me with way too much choice though, help!

I messed about with cheaper boots for years, often going through 3 or 4 pairs a year! Im in mine all day every day. I got some RM Williams boots, bloody pricey at £165 but Ive had then for 4 years now and they are still going strong. Comfy from the moment you put them on. I wouldnt have any others now.

Wow, £165! I'm sure they are gorgeous, just couldn't stretch to that though. Need to some how strike the right note between wallet saving and actually lasting. They don't need to be 'show good' as I have a pair saved for best for that, so just an ordinary knocking around pair that will last.

(just took a peek at the RM Williams online, v v nice!!)

def makes sense. Might have to put up with damp feet for a while, trying desperatly not to lust after gorgeous boots!

Ariats, definitely, feel like slippers the moment you put them on. Whenever I get a spare bit of spare cash which is extremely rare trust me, I know I should pay a bill but I don't, I go to the ariat shop and buy my next pair just in case!!! I've currently got the pair I wear every day, the pair in the bedroom that have not been worn yet and in my purse I have £100 for the pair I'm going to buy when I can get up to Eland Lodge. I cant live without them, obviously!!!
