Am thinking of buying a new bridle and wondered if anyone had any recommendations.

Brands I am considering are:
Albion Comfort Bridle
Kate Negus
Stubben

It will be an everyday bridle but will need to be smart enough for clinics/dressage. Cavasson noseband required but would be useful if I could purchase a drop noseband to use when needed. Padded headpiece would be good as my girl is very sensitive around her poll.

Any opinions on the above brands appreciated as well as recommendations for other brands.
Thank you :)

I have some Elevator bridles which have lasted well but I don't know if they do a drop noseband. If a flash would suit your horse rather than a drop then the Sue Carson bridles are worth a look as the flash attachment is concealed so when you take the flash strap off it looks just like a cavesson thus saving buying two noosebands :) Both the Elevator and Sue Carson bridles have padded headpieces.

Love my sabre cordoba. Excelle t quality and look lush! I have had mine for 2 years and still looks as good as new and padding so soft! Equally as good quality as albion but half the price.
Really not keen on elevator as mine has faded, stretched and gone quite dry. Plus padding isn't very soft.

Another vote for Sabre Cordoba bridles - I have one although I'm only using it for lunging at the moment as I bought a black saddle for my new horse and so had to get a black bridle. Mine has a flash noseband but I'm sure you would be able to get a cavesson.

Albion KB.

Great bridle, I just bought one recently - I also wanted a padded bridle. It's great, you can choose which browband you get (at National Saddle Centre), there are lots to choose from - from plain to very bling.
Everything is padded, it is made from quality leather, you can mix and match pieces of it to get a custom fit. Mine is a mixture of extra full and full sized pieces.

When I was looking to get a new bridle, I took a look in the tack room to see what other people had, and asked how old the bridles were...all the Albions looked in brilliant condition - and were about 4-5 years old. That sold me.
They are good quality, comfortable and will go the distance.

Thanks for the replies.
I do have an old Stubben, a beautiful bridle that's lasted years. Unfortunately it's too small for my new girl. I had heard the quality of Stubben isn't what it used to be - maybe give them a wide berth then.

Will look at the Sabre Cordoba bridles - never thought about Sabre.

At the moment I am torn between Kate Negus and Albion - both look lovely and both can provide what I want :)
