Before I just decide to kill my little darling can someone recommend a rug that he can not ruin.

He is amusing himself by bending his head onto his chest getting the Front straps in his teeth and pulling them off! Very amusing but I now have two rugs that are bailer twined together as I can't get them to the repair place in this weather.

Looking for something without the front straps so the little Love (!) can't actively get them in his teeth.

Any ideas gratefully received as I am on the verge of saying "I don't care if it is minus 15 you can freeze you little sod"

i sew webbing lined with velcro over the front fixings of mine, so that there are 2 overlapping sticky flaps, so the metal hooks can't get caught on things. i doubt this method would be teeth-proof, but you could cover the whole shebang in cribox or similar to discourage him!
is he trying to get his rugs off cos he's too hot, just a thought...?

No he is very much a horse that if he can play with something and ultimately destroy it he will, Part Appaloosa need I say more!

How about a Rambo or Rhino Wug? The two front straps clip onto a ring, so there would be very little for him to get his teeth into? Plus the design means that the fastening point is a little higher, so he may not be able to reach it quite so easily?

Ditto this, or maybe an Amigo, they have straps with a surcingle type clip fastening, but I would think a Rambo would be very difficult to get into. Bloody expensive to ruin if he did though...!!

Thanks for this. Yesterday I purchased an Amigo 1200 200g Medium Turnout and a 300g liner.

Cost 130 for the two and was my winter jacket fund so if he ruins these he is sausages!
