Recommend Horse Transporter - Devon

Hi,

Please could you recommend a good horse transporter covering the devon area.

It will be for a youngster who has never travelled before (we will be practising over the coming months). The journey is within devon and will take aprox 1 hour.

another vote for willhayes - they brought phoebe back from dorset for me - first time travelling in 9 years, she arived asleep, without a drop of sweat on her - he didn't rush to take her down the ramp, but took his time and got her to wait at the top and look around, then walked her gently down.

I have been recommend a person who a friend has used a couple of times whi has said they are great. So i requetsed a quote and they came back with £165

Could you let me know in your opinion if this is reasonable? They would be travelling 40 miles to the pickup and then 25 miles to the drop off.

That's an ok(ish) price, but they vary lots!! In comparison I've got a horse doing a 250mile trip and he's charging me £180, it may be a shared trip but still it's a very good price, the company is Robertson transport. Good luck!

My first thought was that was a bit exspensive but i haven't paid for a transporter for a while.
