I've decided I'd like to try my mare on a supplement. She's been dozy & easy to do all winter but since her first season she's been getting to be higher maintenance.

Last night she decided to p*ss off when being led in. I led her back down to the field & into her stable to teach her to behave, yet tonight she did it again

I've tried Oestress before with no difference in her behaviour. Can anyone recommend a supplement? I'd like the dozy horse back!

Oestress from naf is good! But you might have to add molasses to get her to eat it.

Oestress worked brilliantly on one of mine , i gave her the loading dose for the 1st month. I guess it depends when she is next due to cycle and catching it early enough. I alawys used to start mine on it in feb and it really helped. (and its ALOT cheaper than Regumate!)

Maybe oestress is worth another go. What about Frisky Mare plus from Global herbs? Anyone used it? She's not grumpy or uncomfortable so I don't think regumate is required.

Look at Dodson and Horrell suplerments. They are by far the best on the market!IMO! They have one to cool off mares behavour ( Stroppy Mare )and it really does work. You don't have to mix anything in with it to make it palatable, you just put the required amount in the feed, a mix and away you go. I have even fed it just sploshed on some pasture nuts and my Chestnut mare (who is very picky) just eats.
It is great!!
Good luck, hope this helps.
