So ... following on from my other thread in TR about how much we all pay to get our barefoot horses trimmed, I may just think about getting in a barefoot trimmer if I can find someone who I can trust with my boy's feet. I live near Burton upon Trent, so any thoughts or recommendations would be most welcome, and "definitely avoid" thoughts as well, of course. (PM if you prefer ...)
I was using a farrier who I've used for years for shoeing other horses and lately trimming my present lovely lad, but he's had to retire for health reasons, sadly, so now need to tie a fresh look at my boy's foot care. Co-incidentally, he's just got over a mild bout of possible lami as well, which makes this an even more critical decision, as I need someone who really understands barefoot natives (he's a highland).
Thanks for any thoughts in advance.
