Hi all
Can you recommend me fly rugs suitable for two types of horse;

1. Shire x Tb - 7'3" with a huge neck so I have trouble fastening up the necks on both PE and Rambo fly rugs (without stopping her breathing ).

2. Tb type - will fit any standard rug (6'3") so just looking for the best value rug.

Thanks in advance - and have a hip'n'groovy day.
S :D

PS If you enjoy replying to this, you could do it again in SB! :p

Oh you do put a smile on my face shils!

For the tb, I love my amigo mio. £40 off ebay, brand new, free delivery, came the next day.

For the other, i don't know, sorry :(

I found the amigo bug rug (the silvery one) generous around the chest, but the only caveat there is my girlie exmoor is a weedy thing!

The sweet itch hoody is more expensive, but it does have the fastening that goes 'X' style, so less likely to cut off breathing! Don't expect the ears to stay in for longer than the first head shake, though!

Cheaper and good options I think are the Shires Maxiflow ones. Belly flap, neck cover, tail flap and generous fit.

I have the amigo for my youngster and the jumpers horse line combo for my tb and they are the best I've had. I had the mark Todd one and it is very thick which used rub my sensitive tb. The two I have now are very very lightweight so they don't get hot in them and it does the job perfectly! I think my amigo was £40 from eBay and the JHL was £35

1. derby house fly rugs are fab! Lots of room even with my chunky connie x id there is still lots of room in the neck (I would even say it's a little too big) and had to double velcro on belly straps etc.
