After a 2 week visit to the AHT in Newmarket it was found that Big F has KS, Facet Joint hot spots, a hot spot on his SI and Higher Suspensory desmitis of the right hind
The KS has probably been there all his life as the lumber area has curved slightly so that from above although the spines overlap they do not actually touch each other. We think the Suspensory ligament injury pushed him over the edge. He has had shock wave therapy to the back, Steroid into the SI and the Suspensories have been operated on. I have to say that so far, so good, Big F is walking out nicely, stretching and overtracking. I am currently walking him out from the stable in hand in a pessoa and he is behaving very well. My question is, and thank you for bearing with me, who is the best person in the area to help keep him relaxed and supple? He is a little tight in his neck which needs treating but I want to use someone who has been recommended rather than work my way through a list of people until I find the right one. Plus, would physio, chiro, osteopath, bowen or McTimoney be the way to go??
