Going to invest in a decent saddle for rosie next year as she turns 5 so hoping she'll have finished her major growing - Can anyone recommend a good saddle company for an extra wide 15h cob? - She is not wide because she is fat, she is wide because she is wide :) Would tree or treeless be better? Also I don't have a huge budget so around the £500 mark. I'm thinking of the native pony company has anyone had any experience with them good or bad?

I'm a fitter for Native Pony and would be happy to answer any questions. We split out from Saddle Exchange Ltd and have also launched a new saddle range alongside Native Pony - our website is here. I would say though that we don't get many used saddles traded back in - I can help advise which models to look out for on ebay etc though, if you can get some good pics of your horse and give me more info.

I was also going to suggest a Native Pony Saddle Co saddle. My daughter's first pony was a Connemara and after going through several second hand saddles in the first couple of years which weren't suitable I ended up purchasing a brand new NPSC saddle. He then went out on loan with the saddle and the pair are still together eight years later (the loaner does get the saddle checked and tweaked occasionally).
