To help keep my muddy blighter clean and warm!

Never bought a hood before but am surprised at the scale of prices out there, any advice or favourite brands would be welcomed!

Thanks! :)

Most people seem to love Snuggy hoods, but do be careful, there have been several cases of hoods slipping and damaging the horse's eyes. :(

You can get 'headless' Snuggy hoods which might be a good option. :)

All ours have snuggy turnout hoods.

We leave headcollars on over the top, less likely to slip. Bruce likes to smush his face when he rolls and his is the only one that ever slips - 2 loops of balertwine through the velcro straps on the cheeks and then thread the headcollar through that, problem sorted.

Much prefer the ones with zips, fit better under the jaw and just less faff :)

Snuggy hoods for sure.
Turn out ones are great and shower proof too.
Give them a call and they can help with sizing. Best to get a good fit and then tend not too move.

Snuggy hood fan here too - they don't move at all, and my horse particularly likes to grind his poll and face into the mud.

 lol!! Just buy a horse that doesnt get dirty much easier, mines brill, hardly ever rolls and always tip toes/jumps over dirty puddles...

He also hates being groomed. Hence buying a hood with ears. Now we no longer argue about brushing. I hose his legs off, remove rugs and hood, tack up and go. Amazing.
