Hello all

Finishing my A-levels this Friday (yipee!) and my big travel plans have fallen through (broke up with my boyfriend of a year and a half:() so was thinking of treating myself to a little riding holiday with some of the money I'd saved for the trip. I share a horse so it would have to be something that provided you with a steed. I'd love anything really - long hacks, beach rides, xc/sj/flatwork lessons and clinics, something totally new, endurancey stuff, but preferably not too expensive and just a few days, I'm not bothered about luxury or poshness or anything. Just something fun! Anyone had any good experiences?

Thanks:D

thank you so much for these! at first i thought, oh god, exmoor, miles away and remote, especially as i won't be able to drive (i share a car with my dad). but actually you've hit on a gem because our friends have a little cottage near dulverton and my dad is really keen to stay there for a while in the summer so we could both go down at the same time. the welsh one had me absolutely drooling, i rode in the brecon beacons a lot as a child and there's nothing like it.

I stayed here last week

Would thoroughly recommend it - all inclusive so snacks as well as meals provided, good value, you can stay for 3/4/5/6 nights, lovely well schooled horses, good instructors, ample facilities including cross country course. Nice hacking, including day rides and beach rides, plus you can try riding side saddle.

It's only a mile from Redruth station, and they'll collect you and drop you off again.
