I dont feed raw as a main diet, I just don't like the idea of it! However, I do understand the benefits, so as a starter I would like give Lola some raw things for treats. Is this acceptable? and what would you recommend for starting? :) shes about 20 week (or somethin like that ha!) and a lurcher.. if that helps.

:)

Chicken wings are a good raw staple. Two or three a day will not do her any harm.
Or a turkey leg (under £2 at Tesco and Asda) if you think she could cope with it, keeps them busy for ages.
You can also empty a packet of kidneys into a Kong and freeze it.

A beef bone :) straight from the butcher. My puppy loves the big beef marrowbone, most of them are actually bigger than he is. Non of mine have ever liked kidneys or liver raw but adore cooked liver. I also give them pigs ears, but do stick them in the aga to dry out and cook. Not sure I could cope with floppy pink ears all over the place. Mine also hate raw chicken, my bedlington pup is a waste bin on legs and normally eats first then asks what it was later. However with raw chicken he just looks as though I am poisoning him.

hmm thankyou :) shes got a bone and chews it til her gums bleed =/!. I will defo try chicken wings!! Lola doesnt seem to picky with food and would probably be on a par with your dustbin! Her diet has included snotty tissues =/, baby socks, half a pan of carrots, horse poo, her own poo!, grass, and finally 5 morphine tablets!!
