So long story short, my arthritic retired boy is now coming back into very light work mainly to keep his weight down vet thinks he should be ok to cope with just hacking in walk. I've been riding him bareback at the moment as his pre retirement saddle doesn't fit right. Anyway I was thinking about getting a second hand treeless as thought it may be more comfortable for him (he's a heavy weight cob) but I have no idea where to start re makes models which are best, so thought u lovely experienced treeless users could give me a start in the right direction :D

Only one I would recommend* is the Saddle Solutions ones.

(*some I would avoid like the plague and some I have no experience of)

I love Heather Moffett's new FlexEE, so much so that after first buying a dressage one, I got the GP version as well.
They look just like a regular treed saddle, but much more comfortable, and are flexible enough to be able to fit to virtually anything.

Technically not treeless though, the 'tree' is layers of thick leather built up to spread weight, hence why they feel more supportive than traditional treeless saddles.
