Recommend me a vet in Exeter

Hi all you lovely peeps. Went to see a fab horse yesterday and now need to find a vet to carry out a 5 stage vetting in Exeter. The owner currently has Richard Stringer and St Davids Equine going to the yard, so if anyone could recommend me a good equine vet other than these it would be appreciated.

Well, I was just about to recommend anyone at st davids. In paticular Bob Barker and Tony Kay but you probably dont even want to use one from the same practice. If I was going to use a vet other than these I would use http://www.wildmanequine.com/ Just outside of Exeter and would ask for Steve.

Jon or Nick at North Park Vets cover the area for vettings (01837) 82327. St Boniface (Crediton) also possible - although they don't have a specific equine vet.

Slvy (sp) at st boniface is very knowledgable but think he only works part time now.

I made them travel to okehampton and it was surprisingly reasonable, having had quotes from MANY vets for my last vetting western counties isn't one of the most expensive

Me too, they're very good and pretty reasonable, as far as vets go anyway!!!

Richard Stringer is very good, but expensive! I would always recommend Wolfgar and St Davids too

I use Moorgate vets when the issue is something basic and then ring Richard if I think there's a bit more to it

Bexwarren24 – it’s not a secret just after a nightmare 6 month search I don’t want to jinx this one – if he passes (god I hope he does!) I will tell all!!

Milosdad – Just to clarify I wasn’t thinking that Bob Barker would not vet him honestly, but I have previously had a horse vetted outside of my area and tried to get the vet that he was currently registered with to vet him and they told me that they couldn’t do it as it was a “conflict of interest”, so presumed that this was the general rule that they went by.

Well now, I just need everyone’s good vibes for Friday at 11:30.

kevin peglar- blackdown equine practise, he is so honest and really does the best for your horse. would reccomend him to anyone
