Recommend me ladies leather long boots!

So I'm about to take up a working pupil position, and although I will use short boots and chaps on a day to day basis I'm looking into some long boots for competitions purposes.

Basically.... I'm a bit picky! I want them as a field boot with the laces up the front, they must be black and I have a fairly long leg. I also have wide, but smallish feet! Oh I'm so badly put together

Any recommendations gratefully received, by budget is 200 MAX (poor student!). So far I like these...

I have ariat bromonts which are lush. Also have a pair of sergio grasso vicenzas which at nearly double the price are not as nice!

used to sell the shires field boots when i worked in a tack shop. IME poor quality and poor fit. i second the ariat bromonts, they are gorgeous. shop around and u can find them at a decent price too

Ok... so next question. How do the bromonts come up size wise? I have terrible trouble getting boots to fit me across my foot!

I have Shires ones for sort of semi best (clinics etc) and they're absolutely fine. Fit me perfectly well and haven't broken yet

Can't help with the fit, however Ariat do half sizes, which most don't seem to anymore. Helps me with my 6.5 feet!

Well I have found some of the Bromonts in my size for 170...

But now I like the look of the Mark Todd's too :/

I think ariat do a wide fitting? Or perhaps the normal fitting is the wide and I have the narrow fitting? Not entirely sure!

depending on what size foot u are, but if you are a 7 or more then they do a mens bromont which has a wider foot, however i have wide feet and found my bromonts generous enough. ps - they do stretch

I have Ariat Bromonts, love them!

If you buy the Ariat cleaning products they come up beautifully, even if you get them filthy

I'm another Ariat fan, so comfortable and last forever. I've have short lace up boots and chaps for everyday and bromonts for special occasions and wouldn't wear anything else now.

Bromonts all the way. I have wide feet(was always an F or a G width fitting in Clarks as a kid!) and they are v comfy for me. Not got any special wide fitting or anything,just the usual ones.

Oh no I'm a size 5.5 ... 6 at most. Have decided I'm going to find a shop that stocks Bromonts and go and try them on!

I've got until June to buy them so I suppose time is on my side
