I'm moving yards in 2 weeks time & need to get some new rubber mats for a 12x12 stable. I have matting in my current stable which is 11x10 I bought it 2 years ago & it still looks brand new I love it, got it from a local tack shop grid pattern ontop thick, heavy duty, but still has some give so its slightly softer. Went to the same shop on the weekend with the intention of ordering 2 more sheets to cut up to fit the 12x12 - they dont sell them anymore just some really solid pimply ones more like cow mats at £45 each! Ive looked all over the net for the same as I have with the only clue being ones stamped with made in Canada.
Anyway, I give up. A girl up the yard has offered to buy my mats & move into my old stable as their already fitted - saves me lugging them to the new place & having to get mismatched mats etc. Only I cant find anything I like, its either foam or rock solid.
I like the sound of the EVA theres a 22mm 6 mat special on ebay at the moment from ArkMat.co.uk are these any good? Or are they too lightweight & curl after a while? I want to try & avoid the totally solid thin bubble top ones, I'd prefer something a little thicker like I have now. I have a friend with porous ones that come in 1 metre squares that I'm not totally apposed to. Looked at Equimats but a bit pricey for me.
Its for a 14.3hh Sec D with shoes on, I have a budget of around £250 but the cheaper the better & want to avoid the Jigsaw ones as I have a friend whos have curled badly & theyve never gone back down right after been up for washing - yards yearly rule.
Many Thanks!!!
