A decent fly mask, which is a fairly rigid material so it stays off the eyes, without a nose piece and is difficult for another horse to remove!!!

I've just lost my Rambo one in the wind, which was brilliant, BUT it was only attached by Velcro so it was easy for the other horse to remove- hence annoyingly lost in the wind!!

Much appreciated!!!

:):):)

I like the premier equine ones - with or without nose. My mare will still sometimes wriggle out of it, but she would do that with anything! It is wearing well and washes up brand new.

Bucas Buz Off Fly Mask approx £15 is a really good one and they make fly rugs to give full head to toe look for the summer season :-) Having said that I love Bucas rugs anyway so easy choice for me. :)

I've just bought a Shires fly mask which meets all your requirements. So far I'm very pleased with it.

My favourite has always been the Shire's one (I have the full ear and nose cover but you can get them without nose bits), and even thought it is attached by velcro it hasn't yet come off my boy, even with a young, quite playful, TB youngster in with him.

Ooh ok. I must admit I like the look of the premier equine ones, but I seem to recall them being pretty expensive? I could be wrong...

How are the others attached? If shires is Velcro that may not be enough- this other horse has worked out the Velcro strap- really annoying!!!

equilibrium...brilliant - they are rigid but with lycra edges so they cling on - even my git of a horse cant get his off, cannot recommend highly enough!

the Cashel ones are good.. come in lots of sizes and versions.. full with ears to half no ears.. even donkey ears

I have Equilibrium an Cashel flymasks. They are both fantastic but one mare can get the Cashel off quite easily, she hardly ever gets the Equilibrium off though. :)

Ive just bought a Weatherbeeta softmesh flymash, not hugely happy with it. I came down the next day to find it lying in the field. My horse had got it off. Not good when hes got a gunky eye.
