I'm starting to think about trying Topaz in a double.
I tried her in one the other night, with just a simple weymouth (sliding cheek and small port) and a normal snaffle (loose ring lozenge), by adding a bradoon strap to my bridle. I was very impressed with how she went, I thought she'd suck back from the contact but she took it confidently forward!
Anyway, I was not impressed with how the bridle fit her as it seemed too tight round her ears. Browband was very loose so not that, but maybe because it isn't a built for purpose double? I will be asking my trainer for fitting tips, but wondering what bridles people would recommend?
Happy to save up for the right one, but would like reasonably priced, well made (happy to withstand a bit of neglect lol) that sits well on the head. Ideally black patent noseband and no rolled leather (sorry don't like it), crank not necessary but probably a bit unavoidable.
Will also look out for a bradoon bit too as I think will help fit too.
