Hi, I am looking to buy my horse a nice 'best' bridle- decent quality, to last. I have had Sabre bridles in the past but wondered what other makes people would recommend. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance x

Depends how much you want to spend. I have just bought my horse the Jeffries Premier headstall padded bridle with crank noseband. The leather is top quality and it should last years. I also have the Elevator padded bridle for my mare and they are both quality bridles.

I bought my tb a jeffries falcon bridle mainly because it's quite fine so suits his delicate face!! Was expecting to spend a couple of hundred but this was about half of that!! It's a nice bridle actually but now I wish I'd gone for something with a padded headpiece. Thinking of getting an elevator for my other boy.

I got mine from my local saddlery but they do sell on EBay so you can have a look, just tap in Jeffries bridles. They are an outlet called Equiflair and the price of this bridle and the Elevator are within the amount you mention. If you choose to order from them I have been to the shop (its where mine came from) so they do exist. You may want to see one in real life though as you may want to check it fits with your horses head size etc. Nice bridle, Im very happy with it and my Elevator.

I had mine made to measure for my horse from my local saddler THis means that all the buckles line up and I could have the noseband the width I wanted... definitely worth a thought...

Thankyou all for replies- really useful :)

Blitznbobs- I see you're in Cheshire too- do you mind me asking which saddler you used? x
