I would like a set of clippers to do my horses bridle path with. Need to be cordless. I only have one horse to do, so not looking for anything too expensive.

any recommendations… ideally second hand, also happy to buy dog or beard clippers if they will do the trick.

Is it just for the bridle path? If so there are dog trimmers on eBay for about £10 that will do the job. Just trim with scissors first and even if with those ?

Ooh I wouldn't do with scissors - the longer the hair the more it digs in and cause a sore - IME anyway. I guess it would depend on the mane and how it stood on the neck - but anyway, def trim as short as poss. I don't do it anymore, I just take that part of the mane forward into the forelock - someone here suggested it years ago and it works much better and no clipping, no sores and no spiky bits.

another that has not bothered clipping a bridle path for about a decade :p i used to have to do them to turn out the hunters i plaited etc, owner insisted, i always have some cordless trimmers for doing fiddly bits anyway so just used whatever i had at the time. not having one works just fine though, even for plaiting.
