Recommendations for dressage saddles.

Hey, I am looking into getting my boy a dressage saddle soon as I have an event saddle at the moment and it's not great to school in! What would you lot recommend? I really like the look of the ideal Jessica?Also what is the wintec Isabell like? It will probably be second hand. Horse is a 4yo Hannoxcob, he takes a wide fitting. Any ideas welcome!

Completely different position as a result of it.
Am selling it though as saddler reckons it's not a great fit for my lightweight pony/cob (15hh on a good day)
He said they are great saddles just not right for my hoss. He also recommended the Ideal Jessica

I had a Jessica before current saddle and loved it at the time - then bought a Barnsy Davison and tbh they don't compare. I got back on my old Jessica a while ago (sold it to my old YO) and didn't like it at all!

Personally I hate the Isabelle - always seem to be shuffling about in it trying to get right.

Also like OH's Kieffer Ulla Salzgeber thing on the Excellent Tree.
 
Archie has an Ideal dressage, its lovely, mega mega comfy - personally i dont like synthetic saddles but thats personal preference.

I would recommend if you had a lot of cash to spend it on a wow saddle, love them love them love them. At the moment I have an isabel which is lovely and holds you in well, but if your horse has a big powerful stride the saddle sometimes throws you up in the air with the horses power and it is hard to relax your thigh as sometimes it throws you unbalanced...but that is being really pickie..I have one for sale if you are interested but shh dont tell OH as he brought me the Isabel for a xmas present a few years ago.
 
Had an ideal jessica loved it but didn't fit my horse, local saddler custom designed a dressage saddle that ideal make for her. They are fab and shall be looking to get one for my new boy.
 
i have an Ideal jessica dressage saddle and i love it, i tried 4 other saddles and just could not get on with them. my jessica saddle is so nice to sit in, i can even jump in it.
 
Your horse is so gorgeous! I like the look of your saddle, Which model is it? I'm not too keen on synthetics either but had heard the isabell was good.
 
The IDEAL JESSICA any day!
Beautiful sadddles, comfortable, elegant and puts you in the correct position to gaint he most from your riding.

TBH, would try as many as possible on your horse! I loved the Jessica on one horse I used to ride, then tried one on my boy and hated it. Similarly, hated an Albion on one horse i rode in it, yet have an albion on my boy now! They vary soooo much dependant on the horse etc etc, it is very difficult to recommend. However I havent sat on a Barnsby i havent liked yet, and the jessica is a lovely saddle.

Looks like a Jessic is on my list for my saddler. Keep the recommendations coming because my saddler can get quite a bit in.

Looks nice. I bet my saddler can't get one second hand though. I love ideal saddles. A horse I ride has a 15 year old GP and it's just as comfy as ever!

I have a jeffries elite (i think) i found it very hard to find a saddle to fit me - as im 5'11, its very comfy with a lovely deep seat, my horse is also an extremely difficult fit - saddlers worse nightmare - tried about 10 saddles - this was the only one that fitted us both!
 
Ive ordered an Ideal Suzannah 1650 dressage saddle this morning after owning my Ideal Jessica for 4 years. Ive been so pleased with its fit and quality. Im so pleased with my Ideal saddles im thinking of swapping my Stubben Close contact saddle for one of their event/jumping saddles.

We have just converted the WOW saddle owner to the wonders of the custom ones made by Ideal

The have knee and thigh rolls to die for, if you want them that is. They remind me of that Joke about Dressage in 2020
