Hi I am seeking recommendations for someone who can offer legal advice on employment and disability issues. This isn't for me but relates to someone who has been employed in an equine role. I don't want to post too many details on the open forum but I am happy to share more information privately.

I can offer you the number for a private employment lawyer who is also an equestrian so gets the industry.

But I’d probably suggest a free chat with ACAS or see if any of their equestrian membership support lines can help first.

PM if you want lawyers number although they will charge

ACAS will be the best place to start but one of the basics is that you do not have employment rights until you have been employed continuously for 2 yrs in a f/t role. So things like unlawful dismissal aren't relevant in the shorter term.
You do have some rights with pregnancy in any employment though, so you can take time to attend ante-natal appointments etc.
Disability rights are also relevant from the start of employment.

Definitely ACAS I worked for them for many years and they are a good organization

I had a similar issue and ended up getting a free half-hour consultation with a local solicitor which really helped me understand where I stood before deciding what to do.
