Hi - I need to buy some new show jumps but i don not want to spend a fortune (impossible i know) I would like plastic jumps have looked at all 'big name' brands like Jump 4 Joy and Poly Jumps. Does anyone know where I can get lower cost plastic show jumps?
Thanks

I have a set of plastic SJs from http://www.jumpsonline.co.uk/. They are really good and have lived out for the last 4 years no bother and IMO very good value for money. Delivered in about 5days too and I am central scotland.

I didnt get any fillers, just poles and wings. the poles are a good weight and the jumps dont blow down easily.

I was going to suggest same company - very easy to deal with and far cheaper than the big names. One thing: I have found that sometimes the striped poles split along the stripe - they are happy to take back and repair FOC but that can obviously be complicated - I have decided next time I order from them, which I will be, I will go for mostly the solid colour poles with just a couple of striped ones.

Another vote for jumps online, we ordered a few uprights and poles from them last year, they are fab! we picked ours up as they are based not too far away, think we only got practise weight poles and although they are fine, one of them has snapped (would not have snapped if I'd had the safety cups for the back rail of the parallel fence we were jumping), I'd recommend using the standard weight poles if you get a choice and the markings for heights don't show up on the black uprights (the markings are printed in black) Altogether we are really pleased with the jumps and they have been used a lot over the summer.

I've been looking for some plastic stands and Jump4Joy come up far cheaper than JumpsOnline at the moment.

I want 6 stands and 12 cups:
Jumps Online cost (excluding delivery) for 6 x 1.5m stands and 12 zinc cups = £293.98.

Jump4Joy for 6 x 1.5m stands and 12 plastic FEI safety cups which have the added advantage of being able to be switched round to be used as flat cups for planks (can't do that with the zinc ones) = £246.00 (not including delivery).

Jumps Online used to be much cheaper than Jump4Joy as I remember doing the same calculation this time last year, then not buying any as I was going out to local unaff so much. But now they seem to be pricier sadly.

All really helpful thanks guys i hadn't heard of jumps online before. I did a quick conparison with Poly Jumps and for 4 stands, 4 poles and 8 cups Poly Jumps is £350 and Jumps Online is £296 quite a saving!

That would cost you £252 from J4Joy and you could have competition weight poles not the horrible light plastic-only ones. The poles wouldn't be stripey though....

No problem, I have both websites open because I am showjump shopping as well. :) JumpsOnline used to be by far the cheapest, but J4Joy are definitely cheaper now. I want some wavy planks but nearly had heart failure at the cost, so will stick to my home-made chopped up scaffolding planks which are not wavy!

I would go for jump 4 joy ... when we were looking for jumps i really didnt have a good budget however i compared several makes and jump 4 joy came out the cheapest

Jump4Joy everytime. We have a few wings and poles for the indoor, can put up about 4 fences including spreads and two planks. We have a set for the jumping field, which gives us a full 10 fence course. They really last, are wonderful people to deal with, and are excellent value for money. Event pony also likes knowing where she's jumped as it's all marked on there - me, I just say that looks plenty big enough!

I prefer the Jumpsonline ones over Jump4joy. JOL stands come with welded metal feet whereas the J4J ones comes with plastic feet which on ours, broke with a few months. The JOL ones have now lasted for a few years and get alot of use!!

PM me for some info on some fabulous cheap poles too

We have had J4J jumps for about 10 years - stands, fillers, water trays and poles and none of them have broken, a few have slightly faded (but they have changed the printing process since then).

We bought another load a few years ago and when they arrived they had not been wrapped properly so the printed design was damaged, they replaced them no quibble, also some of the printing on the jump stands was messy and they were also replaced.

You used to be able to do some really good deals if you saw one of their reps at an event
