Looking for any suggestions for a riding holiday (hacking) preferably within a two hour journey from Kent with accom for horse (field) and rider. Would be for about two riders so big lodges that are X amount a week and sleep 6-8 aren't cost effective. I've done the usual google searches - B&B for horses, trail rides etc. Can anyone recommend anywhere?

We stayed at a fantastic B&B for horse and rider twice!!
It is in Jeveington right on the south down way. 30miles or more to ride in each direction from the yard.
The owner was brill eveen walked us up the downs with her dog to get us on the right track, plenty of maps etc.
yard at bottom of downs.
fantastic going been both summer and winter.
Homely bedroom opp yard, large boxes, small t/o but you must poopick!
Hungry Monk restuarant that developed Banoffie pie right next door £35.00 per head 3 courses
Pub 5 min walk down lane (take a torch) cheap as chips, btl wine £10.00
No tv but DVD collection in room- all the horsey favourites
The name is The paddocks, Jevenington East sussex
I hour drive from Sevenoaks jun 5 M25.
If you go/contact owner please tell her I recommended as we took our pony there for his last ever jaunt before pts with cancer and she was so caring and kind.
Have fun lucky you!

Thanks for that. I've seen the Jevington advertised but it means a lot more to hear someone recommend it.

IOW a bit too far to go.

If Ashdown Forest is any good pm me. My friend is just opening a brilliant B+B offering riding breaks, I'm off for a test ride myself soon and really looking forward to it!
