Hi,
I'm interested in taking up riding lessons as an adult having never ridden previously. I'm in Harrow, north west London. Can anyone please recommend any good riding schools near me? There are a few as per Google but I've no idea which are the better of them. Thanks

I don't really know of any where you are but googling brought up this one: http://bucksmeadow.co.uk/prices.html It seems to be decently priced. I'd highly recommend you try to do an hour - not 30 mins. That's just not really long enough to learn much. That one also has a simulator, which can be really useful.

Local to me, I know Lee Valley is meant to be quite good - everything I've heard is positive and they aren't extortionate. http://leevalleyequestrian.wix.com/leevalley

An adult friend of mine learned to ride here: http://kingsoakec.co.uk/ And had a good experience but that instructor has since gone so I don't know how it'd be now.

Sorry not that helpful - others may have personal experience of centres close to you. But regardless, I'd just pick one that sounds good on paper and pay a visit... See what you think and go from there.

Not ridden there myself but South Medburn has an excellent reputation.

However both South Medburn and Bucks Meadows have planning applications gone in recently with the intention of redeveloping into housing so may not be a long term option.
