I currently feed my horse Allen & Page Sustain (along with sugar beet and Alfa-A), but the price has now rocketed to over £11 a bag! He gets through about one bag every ten days, so it is costing me a small fortune!
Can anyone recommend a cheaper alternative? I know that the Allen & Page feed contains probiotics, but he has Pink Powder so doesn't need probiotics in his feed.
He is schooled for about five or six days a week (for 40 minutes a time) and lunged the remaining days. He competes every other week and sometimes every week.
He needs enough energy for his workload without making him a loon!
I already give him linseed oil for energy / joints / coat!
