Just before they were discontinued, I bought several pairs of Musto Ultimate Snuggy jods. I've lived in them every winter for the past goodness knows how many years and they are now (understandably) looking very tatty.

No idea what's currently available but I've seen Countrydale and Equicouture thermal tights mentioned - does anyone have these, or other recommendations for cosy jods?

I prefer pull-ons/riding tights and no silicone seat, but warmth is the main consideration!

I've got Eqcouture. Comfy but I found the waist got a bit saggy with repeated washing so need a belt. Decent level of warmness.

My go to if you can bear the faux leather look are decathlon kipwarms. They've lasted years and I chuck some reproofing through the wash to help keep them showerproof

Snap! Whyever did Musto discontinue these ??!
Very occasionally seen brand new, tagged, examples on eBay - seller who’s hoarded but finally given up riding, type of thing...
Try Irideon and Kerrits, American brands which make really good thermal styles, altho not so easy to buy in GB, with import tax if direct from States.

Agreed my waterproof decathlon kipwarms had them for years. They do call them my bondage jods on the yard and I get teased about them but I have the last laugh when I am dry.

I have some of the winter Equicouture's and I love them to be honest, nice and warm, plus have the sticky leg bits which I prefer to normal Jods.

I've got some shires and cameo fleece lined ones and both are good. If you're looking for really thick and warm then the horzehood fleece lined ones are another level up in warmth.

I also have these.
I find them super warm and decent waterproofness.
I'm just gutted I'd never found them while I was a groom for nearly 15 years 🙈🤦🏻‍♀️

I really love my Kerrits 3-Season Tailored Breeches. They come in knee patch and full seat, and I prefer them to some of the other offerings they have. I find them super well-fitting and quite warm until it gets cold enough for riding snowpants season, which is probably warm enough for all winter in the UK.

The Kerrits stretch fleece is comfy and warm, but not windproof - so fine for an arena, but not outside/doing chores. The Windpro IS nicely windproof, but I find they don't stretch very much and are annoyingly restrictive (mind you I have the full seat and I HATE Kerrits' non-silicone full seats - I find them all very hard to move in). The 3-season is not QUITE as windproof officially, but I find them fine, and I like that hay doesn't stick at all to the softshell-type fabric. The denim ones are also nice but not as warm.

(In theory I prefer pull-on tights, but I have long legs & a high waist and it seems to be easier to find stuff that fits well in a breeches style - though Kerrits tends to fit well in tights too for me.)

I'm a recent Horzehoods convert. They are absolutely perfect and the ONLY ones that dont fall down (and believe me I've tried absolutely loads from ariat and le mieux, to Flexars)

I bought some new riding tights from Toggi and love them. They’re a soft fabric material and not the typical riding tight ‘gym’ fabric (not sure what it’s called) but they feel really soft, for me they feel a good mix between not getting too hot whilst riding but nice and soft/warm round the yard!

Countrydale & Horzehoods do lovely winter tights. Also M & S do some fantastic fleecy lined tights that don't affect fit of tights. They're brill. Even better than Heatholders which I previously swore by.
Decathlon Kipwarms for wet & cold. They look a bit rubbery, but they're ace with a high fleecy waist.

I have fleece and non fleece horse riders ones from this site and they have been fab 👌🏻

I LOVE my pikeur laguna breeches and the suede seat... no sticky bum.... but have recently bought some blackfort ones which are nice and a snippet of the price... I will look at horsehoods ones as have heard good things but why is it so hard to find suede bum breeches these days? I cannot be the only one who prefers these?

These

Wash really well and stand up to everything I’ve thrown at them.
