Hi All,

I am currently in Surrey but planning a move to SE Bristol (Knowle) in the Autumn, and would be very grateful for any recommendations of yards to the South/East of Bristol (or any others that would be a reasonable commute).

I have a quiet 6 year old gelding who currently lives out all year, and ideally I would like to find somewhere where he could continue living out all year. I would consider stabling at night over winter however, if the yard ticked all other boxes. A school is a must. Off road hacking would be a bonus! I am looking for DIY/Assisted DIY or Part Livery.

If anyone has any recommendations, or could recommend any good places to look for adverts such as local tack shops etc I would be extremely grateful :)

Thank you!!

I don't know this yard just know of it so can't give a recommendation but someone who used to share at our yard has her horse here now and seems very happy. Very close to Knowle side of Bristol (south).

There are also some smaller yards in the Wraxall/Failand area of Bristol which is west of Knowle but not sure what they're called so no help whatsoever! There's a New Bristol and South West Horse Information Group on Facebook it might be worth joining and putting the same query up on there.

With yards either north or south of Bristol you want to make sure you find one near to where you'll be living or working as getting across Bristol from one side to the other in rush hour is no pleasure and takes forever!

Hi Spotonforgold, I haven't found anywhere definite yet, but have a few possibles. I will pm you some of the yards I have looked at, it might give you a starting point.

Thankyou for replying MochaDun, I spoke to Hill Livery but they only offer full livery, or a complete diy yard over the road. They both sound great but I am really looking for assisted diy or part livery.

Will go and see if I can find the facebook group though, good suggestion, thanks!
