This is on my bucket list and I will cross it off this year.

Finally we're out and about in the lorry and my once nervous girl seems to love hacking in a new place and miracle of miracles, she enjoys it even when it's just the two of us. she'll travel happily alone too thankfully.

So.......I'm thinking that this year, after my daughters wedding at the end of May, is the year that we can all get away together. My OH suffers with MS and sleeps in the mornings, so I like to ride while he rests. We'd need a good location and accommodation so rucking up and sleeping in the lorry or a tent wouldn't do tbh.

I hate leaving her to take a holiday and I really don't enjoy being without her, or the dogs.

Any recommendations guys?

We're based in the midlands.

Holkham is indeed lovely to ride on, goes forever, parking for trailers/lorries was about £12 for the day. I'm sure there would be local accommodation to fit your needs somewhere.

Field farm or Allington Field farm is actually on the beach so great place have holiday cottages and have a good reputation not connected to them have never been although I plan to but they seem to have good facilities all round

Allington is a UK chasers place at Louth again cottages and livery with lots of rides but would be a box ride to the beach

Holkham beach looks lovely and it's had a few votes so il look at that thanks.

I've looked at field farm before tbh and it looks great. There's no need to box up and we could all stay together at the same location which would be a big bonus. The only trouble is that its a bit out of the way, but if my mare has a paddock and stable the OH and I could use the lorry as our runabout.

Has anyone been there?

Local RC has been to Field Farm a few times and loved it. We've also been to Holkham Beach, staying between it and Wells-next-the-Sea. http://www.whitehallfarm-accommodation.com/ This place has the option of B&B, glamping or camping, you can ride to the beach without going on the road and is within easy walking distance of Wells itself.

We took our boys to Holme last year (near Hunstanton) it was really lovely, stayed at Home Farm which I would definitely recommend, lots of off road hacking as well as being a 5/10 minute ride from the beach.
