There is a livery yard at Home Farm, Scrooby, between Ranskill and Bawtry. Phone number is 01302 711528.

There is also Follynook at Ranskill. They were meant to building a school when I was there a few years back, but don't know if it was ever done. Phone number is 01777 818215.

A little further than Bawtry but there is Hayfield stables at Thorne although has no indoor. Small family run yard (who live onsite) with 12 boxes, new 20x40 sand & rubber arena, all year round turn out (In on a night over winter), on the very edge of town so very quiet hacking although not a lot off road xx

I know the chap you mean I did too. If I go for livery I want really good off road and shoools etc. Hayton looks nice but quite busy.

Not sure on the facilities at Hayton either, we just used to reverse up to the barn, fill the truck with hay then go and find someone to give some money to!

Agree about the hacking there, you would have to go through the village and over the bridge by the pub which is on that blind bend. I think once you are out of the village there are loads of bridleways, but I wouldn't fancy the ride getting to them.
