Recommendations pls - full face masks

I need a full face fly mask for a big mare with a huge white face that is burning despite plenty of factor 50.

Any thoughts on brand/makes gratefully received.

I like Shires, my last pony had a pink nose and the full face Shires mask I had for him fitted like a glove, he wore it 24/7 and it never rubbed and he never got sunburn. The only thing I found though was that the nose cover made him sneeze so I just had to sew a tuck in it to raise it up off his nostrils. I've just ordered one for a new pony that I've bought with a pink nose.
The different brands vary in their fit though so it is a question of trial and error; My previous pony fitted Rambo masks well but on the next pony they gaped around the jaw. At least the Shires ones are partly made of soft material so can be adjusted if you're handy with a needle and thread.

Another vote for Shires, be aware though that the cob size fits all my 3, ranging from 15 2hh to a 17 1hh, no rubbing and a snug fit where it needs to be snug

Premier equine look good. I have an aerborn nose protector and a geetac uv protection mask on this thing:



She never burns now and I don't put anything else on her.

Equilibrium - soft & elasticated round the jaw,so fits snug (so nothing gets in it!) but doesn't rub&allows jaw movement for eating. Nice and long with a removable nosepiece. Padded (but not with faux fleece or anything!) inside at the brow and nose,so nice and soft but not sweaty.

hi can't reccomend a fly mask but i have a tip.....use sudocreme on pink nose instead of sun cream as it forms a thick protective layer from sun, soothes/heals any previous sunburn and deters flies and horseflies

Premier Equine, the horse likes the hole for the forelock. The Shires one she has doesn't have that.

Another vote for the equilibrium mask,not cheap but it's very well made & fits beautifully. Very pleased with mine.
