Has anyone used one and if so why? for those of you who are not sure what I mean its a trained person in Kelly Marks Intelligent horsemanship programme that is recommended to help with loading, confidence, respect, ground work and all that sort of thing. Interested to hear any feedback thanks

not used one personally but a friend of mine at my yard had one out to help with her horse to do some ground work his a bit of a sod to handle. I arrived at the yard mid session and sat in on her session and thought she was brilliant, very interesting a wealth of knowledge and had some very positive ideas to help my friend. Since she has been, this horse has improved no end and I believe my friend is having her out again if my boy wasn't such a saint I would probably be interested in having a session too!

I've used three at different times - two came to the yard just to help with handling issues with unhandled youngsters. Both were very good - kind, calm and knowlegable and both made a huge difference to the horses concerned.
I sent a youngster for backing to an RA and again he was very good with a very difficult horse.

I phoned one up locally to me to speak to her about my horses behaviour after I'd had him a few months (about 5 years ago now), she had a chat with me about feed & routine which helped loads. She didn't charge me and was so lovely and helpful to a new horse owner :)

I would certainly do it again!

One helped me after I posted on here, she was great and I'm still following her advice. She was incredibly patient and helpful, kind but firm and very sensible and supportive. I would have liked to carry on longer but it can be a little expensive.

I'm a big fan of the IH RA's as they really do know their stuff and are good with humans as well as horses. Because let's face it, many of the issues we face with our horses are down to us. So to have a double whammy of help for horse and handler is invaluable.

Used twice now. Both came out. One was for my gelding that turned aggressive, I had the back lady and teeth before hand. Turned out he had kissing spines though the first back lady missed it (bowen) :(

2nd time was for Samba as I couldnt get her to canter still not really cantering but have learnt lots of exercises to make her "fall" into canter and relax on the bit ( IH lady thinks where she has been driven in the past shes been yanked about to encourage her to open her trot and not fall into canter).
