Just need to ask you your opinion
Who would you recommend for international Transport
I need to send my little horse to Sweden. I want to send her with the best care I can, as she has recently had a very bad leg injury. I would like to know who you would recommend to transport her with care and understanding.
Also I understand that the trip will be two to three days. Am I being cruel to send her that distance and then bring her back here after a few years? She has had some really bad loans and these people are the only people I trust to look after her whilst I don’t have time. Even if I wanted to sell her, I could not, as she is not likely to be ridden sound after the last loaner finished with her. I just want her to settle and be a horse for a while and to know she is well cared for.

I've used George Mullins in the past to go from Ireland to Holland and he was very good. A little more expensive than the others. I've also used Lusk from Switzerland to Ireland, cheaper but I would prefer Mullins given the choice.

Equine Travel Agency.

Very competitive quotation
Only company who allowed me to take a bin bag of rugs and kit and tack at no extra cost.
Very helpful and calming!
Fantastic driver and groom who both spent time getting to know my horse before loading him hence he went up the ramp like a lamb!
Sent me updates along the journey even texting me at midnight to say all safely back at Dover and my horse was in a stable calmly eating hay.
Horse overnighted at their yard and when I went to collect him found him on a thick shavings bed with a full haynet looking as happy as larry.

Would not hesitate to recommend:-))

Pedens or John Parker, have used both for international shipping and they have shipped literally thousands of horses worldwide.

Parkers do regular trips, I used them for my horse and where I work used them for mares and foals. They are very good and the drivers are all horse people as well. Horses have always arrived looking well and relaxed with them. As with a lot of other big transporters they have lorries that drop at the back so the ramp is not as steep when they load and unload.

John Parker. They recently transported a friend's two horses from the UK to Finland, and back. One of the horses is a completely neurotic 17.2, the other a laminitic. They both had the highest quality care and stepped off the lorry looking like they had travelled 30 miles, not 3000. The drivers and grooms were so helpful and competent, it was clear to see they had really built a rapport with these two. I couldn't recommend them enough!

I have used John Parkers twice, and was very happy both times.

I don't think they are the cheapest, but the horses arrived looking happy and not tired.

The drivers are horse people too and they handle them very well.

My last girl to travel with them is a 17hh WB who really sweats up in small lorries, but she arrived looking fresh, and not sweaty.

They also let me travel a saddle and some rugs free of charge.

Always use www.jmrt.co.uk

No shared loads! So not going here there or everywhere plus we can travel with our horses!

Tried a few already mentioned on here and seriously horses went via timbuktu for a simple 800 mile journey - never again! Had a 10,000gbp vet bill.

Good luck with your choice

My sister took her horse to sweden for 2 years (work) and brought her back. She used John Parker who were good. You will be looking at a few hundred quid each way. She will be tired after the journey - I think it will be more like 4-5 days as typically they go through france, germany and denmark to reach sweden and they can only travel for a certain number of hours each day, rather than doing a long ferry trip from hull or newcastle to scandinavia, they are stabled overnight on the stops though and horse should bounce back pretty quick.

We have just shipped our horse over to UK from Spain with Loc Ltd. They were incredibly helpful from start to finish, very professional, and Vinnie arrived happy, safe and relaxed. Very impressed with them and would definitely use them again.

Another vote for John Parker amazing door to door service bringing KWPN Stallion over from Holland. Had two nights on route over arrived looking great. Lovely lorries and staff cant praise them enough great service.

we used ETA to bring my boy over to the UK from dubai and we will use them again when our other boy comes over.
mine arrived nice and chilled considering he took the best part of five days to get here
