Anyone know if there is a way of doing this? I'm not too hot at stuff like this anyway, but the OH has been defeated by it too, and if the BBC is going to show six hours of Badminton, I want to watch the lot!

You can't record anything on BBCi unfortunately

You need to set your video to AV so that it records directly what the tv is showing on the screen. You must keep your tv on though otherwise it'll record a blank screen

Some freeview boxes have the BBCi channels on a particular number - 301, 302, 303 and 115 on mine. You can timer record these from a set top box, but as it can only record 2 channels at a time it's a gamble which one is right. I've gone for 301 and 302 (as 301 was right for the Europeans!)

Thanks everyone, I knew it would be complicated! I think I will be sat in front of the TV at 11am tomorrow then...

OH has just said that he will check me at 5pm, he expects to find me in a vegetive (sp?) state!!

I recorded the European champs from BBCi onto my hard disc recorder last year, so I'm guessing Badminton should be the same. As mentioned, make sure the recorder is recording channel "AV".

Roll on 11am tomorrow, I can't wait!
