Recovering from a virus

We think my horse has probably got a virus at the moment but hopefully the blood tests will confirm tomorrow.

I don't know much about viruses and have never (knowingly) had a horse with one. Does anyone haver any experience or advice they can offer me? What can I do to speed up his recovery and how long is this likely to take?

Having a horse with virus, in general antibiotics , rest ,no riding i found my horse improved within a week but got another weeks antibiotics to knock it on the head .Whats his symptoms ?
