Recyling

It would probably be tricky to be honest. I know of a company in Scotland that recycles the black plastic that farmers use to wrap silage, but I don't know of any other recycling scheme for other plastic bags. Unfortunatley the UK is quite bad in the recycling stacks compared to the rest of the EU. This may be different in England mind you, I only really know about the situation here. Good luck, let me know if you find anyone that will recycle them!

Nope, we have to burn ours which cant be good for the environment. But the buggers up here are pathetic about recycling!! They refuse to take certain things etc. and even had the cheek to leave our ENTIRE bin full of newspapers the other day because we had ONE piece of brown cardboard in it. Apparently they now dont take brown cardboard so instead of simply taking out the piece they leave the entire bin (for another MONTH!) and piss about taking some stupid notice on the lid! Idiots.

We've also just learnt that in our area a lot of our recycling apparently goes to Wales!! Wow, those huge emissions in getting there must be doing wonders for the environment. What a joke.

oh yes, aren't the council great. they left our brown bins because they had sawdust (from rabbits in them). Never mind that sawdust is a great component of composting. I am embarrassed by the lack of recycling in Scotland. Farmers are allowed to burn anything, e.g chemical barrels as long as it is in a drum incinerator, but god forbid if someone want to burn their old waste oil. I blame the EU for all this ridiculous legislation
