I'm a conservative dresser and tend to wear dark colours. But I've seen a gorgeous pair of red (bright red) breeches.

Anyone else have a pair? Will they look ok with brown boots on a liver chestnut mare? Or do they only look good on the clothes models?

I have some, am not a size 8 and def dont have stick thin legs!!
I like mine, but the horses are grey, black and bay so easy to match colours to and I tend to wear dark coloured tops so I'm not too in your face :D.

I say go for it.

I've got a pair of lovely red breeches with a black full seat - rather extravagant, but they look so good on me! One thing to consider - they definitely don't look good with all of my saddle pads, which irks my inner matchy-matchy demon. :D

Nay....from me....unless you got 'Stick Insect Legs'.....but, truly I would love some if I had 'Stick Insect Legs' :)

Kind of agree with this. I got a pair and they looked hideous on me but i do not have thin legs at all. If you like them though get them and see how they look you never know.

Oh no, you don't have to have 'stick insect legs' to wear a pair of red breeches, or any other bright colour. Embrace what you have - I don't think stick insect legs look so great anyway- so go on OC - just wear your brave pants underneath! :)

Lizziebell....just go for it, they sound great and anything to brighten up these dull days is all good :D

I bought a pair of those waterproof breeches in pink, I thought they were nice, I had had pink jeans before. My OH reacted with complete horror and insisted I send them back and swop for a different colour. I looked, apparently, like a ............
you can fill in the spaces! I was quite sad.
