Opinions please on what you think is the best or is there no difference?

For background, my lad's been a bit lethargic for a few weeks now and I thought it may be was just that he needed a bit of feed now that the summer is nearly over (if it actually ever got started

). This didn't make a jot of difference. His appetite is as good as ever, nothing in his routine has changed he just seems a bit depressed! Instructor thinks it could be a bit of viral thing and suggested red cell or blood liquid so just wanted to know what people thought/experices were.

PS Vet was supposed to come out last Wednesday but had to attend an emergency and can't come out until this Wednesday.

Id get the vet to run a blood to actually check for Anaemia first.
My horse gets on and off anaemia according to his allergies. I find no difference in time scale between feeding Red Cell and Naf Blood Liquid (as in blood returning to normal levels). However, I do find that feeding Equicell makes him less likely to need anything else, it keeps his bloods just right.

Chocx has been a bit quiet lately but I think it's the heat. Just incase however, I've ordered some Propell Plus to see if that helps.
I've also had two different feed companies suggest a feeding regime, interesting to see if they can make a difference.
I would perhaps keep an eye on your horse's temperature, that's the first sign anything's amiss like a virus.

Id recommend ed Cell - have used it on showjupers fighting a virus and also as routine for prepping yearlings. Horses on Red cell fared much better than those who werent.

Pickle had something that sounds very simular to yours, vets took a blood sample and he was anemic and had to be on a immune system boosting drug and something else (will try and find name) I then give him equisup for a month every time it is coat change time (he gets worse at this time)

Turns out Ludo was anemic. In the end I bought Procell Plus as that's what the local saddlery had in stock and the vet also suggested that too. He's been on this stuff for just over 2 weeks now and I've also given him this time off too. Will be getting back on board this weekend so will see if he's picked up a bit, certainly feels like it judging by the speed he drags me over he fields of an evening to come in!!

My mare's been a bit "off" over the last bit of the summer, nothing I could put my finger on, just a bit low key. She's been on ProPell Plus for about 3 weeks now and is much better.

I tried gold label's ferrikon and NAF BLK powder. Neither made much difference

Red cell has certainly made my quiet horse brighter and turns his brother into a nutter (have now stopped feeding it to brother).

I think the blood liquid from naf may been missing some of the ingredients - red cell has quite a long list (propell is very similar)
