I was recommended it by my friend/instructor/eventer who said that it was proven that all geldings were born with a low blood cell count or something so they most were prone to lacking energy etc. So when my previous gelding was getting very sluggish etc we tried it on him and that really improved him - he seemed a lot more energetic and actually his bouts of colic stopped too! (probably coincidence).
I used this for a while with my horse. Buster was very anaemic for some reason (still don't know why!). I didn't really notice much difference-Buster was getting haemoglobin shots from vet which perked him up but after this wore off he'd be as low as ever again! Even if he was still getting the redcell.
So didn't really work for me... I'm finding I'm having much better results with Propell Plus.

I would have to query that...a gelding can't be born with low blood count as geldings aren't born at all...geldings are created

my thoughts exactly
Anyway, RedCell - I found it to be good stuff, but essentially what it is is an iron supplement that can improve anaemic horses, be a bit of pick me up etc - if the horse doesn't need iron, RedCell won't help
