Red House Holidays - Herefordshire

This is a long shot!

Some 30 odd years ago I used to go on holiday to a place called "Red House" near Herefordshire, Harewood End I think.

It was a riding holiday for children and I have very fond memories of the place.

I have done the usual "google" but there seems to be no trace.

So very much a long shot to see if anyone else went there, it was a very popular place. I recall the son was doing quite well in 3 day eventing, but for the life of me I cant remember the name.
 
Hi there, I see this post is 9 years old now!! But yes, I remember redhouse farm. I used to keep my pony there in the early 80s. Henry oliver was the owner and he had 2 boys, I think they were named Nick and HJ. I remember the outdoor pool always being freezing cold and a couple of llamas that would spit at me!!! Great times, disco on the last night and always a treasure hunt at some point. My mum worked there as a cook. I can't find it on google either and we moved away in 1982 x

I think the manager was named Celia?

hi, i have just seen this post on google when i was also searching for red house farm holudays. i went for many years, coming up from london. it was the best holidays i ever had. celia was one of my instructors and i learnt a ton from her. yes the cold swimming pool. i remember lots of people including the staff getting thrown in. i have lots of photos from those holidays. its funny as that is where i discovered walkers crisps, lol. we didn't have them in london. and of course the trampoline, spent many hours on that, lol. its crazy that there is nothing on google about that place, or those holidays. i have looked at maps as i knew it was somewhere near harewood end ish, but no red house farm. i remember henry and sally oliver. you didn't want to get told off by him. i and some others were called to the house a couple of times for a bollocking, lol. good times. glad you had fun too
