When should you worm for red worm? as we have been told we have to double dose our horses this weekend with equest and equitape i am just a little worried about giving two wormers like that/

Equest and Equitape are designed to be used together, in fact have now been combined as Equest Pramox. Together the two drugs treat all stages of redworm plus tapeworm so thats it all covered. In many situations you need nothing more all year except a couple of worm counts to check all is well.
