Rediculous Advert!!

I do have to agree with you there - even if the horse was older and being broken in she has a bit of a cheek asking someone for £20 a week to break it in for her.... i know horses cost money but breaking livery costs sooo much, she should be glad to find someone who would help her out for free

.... some people.

this advert doesn't make any sense! i can barely understand it! aww, i feel so bad for that little one xx

Im in yorkshire & I can barely understand it too! They have definitely written things as they say them, poor little horse, can just imagine him being kept on an allotment with someone riding him round it like the gypsies do at sales :-(

Its sad to see what the education system is turning out.
People who write in text and those who have no idea how to spell, can only speak in the first person and have not the vaguest clue about sentence structure, seems to be very common in the younger generations today.

Basically this girl is writing exactly how she speaks. That and the fact that there seems to be no brain attached to the mouth!
I think its very sad that some people are so uneducated, that they can barely hold a conversation, read or write.
Pregnant too! - pity the poor child shes bringing into the world.

Unfortunately the "education system" cannot force parents to raise their children properly, or make them read a book outside of school. Five hours a day in the classroom doesn't undo the other nineteen hours of bad parenting. If people choose to communicate using text speak that is their own ignorant choice and nothing to do with what they are taught in school.

I totally agree with the above. The lack of correct spelling and 'slang chav wording/spelling' is just setting up for youngsters being unable to spell correctly and effect them in later life, e.g. when it comes to form filling for jobs etc...
crazy.gif
I always try my best to spell everything correctly, be it on here, facebook, texting etc... as it keeps me in good practice for work as I work in Solicitors and spelling mistakes in our line of work is a big no no! It looks bad on the company, and if we continue to make errors, our jobs can be at risk!

The girl in that advert would definitely get the sack from our place lol!
smirk.gif
I think as well as bad practice, poor spelling/ text slang like that leads you to believe it is written by a young school girl! xx

Oh yes, they might be too busy/lazy to get an education or job but the buggers always have time to reproduce!

I knew of a chav who asked his mate to pinch a car radio for him. He obliged but unwittingly nicked it out of the guys OWN CAR

I have to say it took me 5 minutes to read too! More worrying is the lack of care for the poor thing - ''you can do what you want on your days''. So much for asking for references!

I can type and I am still young - education and parents did more for me than her though I guess!

Lol although there are some nice areas in Barnsley where advertiser is from they really are a breed on their own! My friend lives in Barnsley but is from Sheffield and wants to move back soley due to the way they speak and write! She doesnt want her son to grow up like that! Some translation -
Tarn - Town
Art - Out
Booit o car - Boot of the car
Babby - Baby
Tym - Time

It gets worse than this too!

If not, I think this is a very valid excuse...

In my defence, I have been off work for 6 months and so I am abit rough around the edges and out of practice without the beady eye of the Office Manager cracking the whip!! xx

Poor spelling, or mistaking one word for another is not quite in the league of the muppet who wrote that advert. i am a stickler for correct spelling and grammar, but i don't pick people up on it in public (I hang, draw and quarter them in my head, though...). Functional illiteracy and sheer stupidity are quite a different matter.

Unless you missed poking your spacebar, that goes in the same bracket as 'alot' and 'aswell'. Shils has taxidermied people for less. She accused me of incoherence once - so I had to recite some passages from The Holy Bible to drive her away.
