Unfortunately it's a buyers market at the moment. I spent over £300 advertising my stallion, he was advertised at £4500 which was half the price I was offered for him as a foal. I then dropped to £2500, and finally gave up and decided to geld him and keep him. Well, then a friend (who had seen him a few weeks before) called me out of the blue and made me an offer above my revised asking price, so he was sold. BUT she also showed me the pictures and pedigrees of some stallions she had looked at, and graded, ridden, competing stallions were being offered to her for £4000.

I hate to sound pessimistic, but there are so many quality, easy horses out there at the moment at not so ridiculous prices, that green, novicey youngsters are hard to sell, and not making a huge amount.

I know what you mean I was also thinking about loaning with view to buy dont know how long they would need to loan b4 they know if she is right or wrong for them at this rate I will be owing the buyers money to take her, its mad.
