Reducing scaring

Does anyone have any tips to reduce scaring?

My filly had quite a nasty cut over the winter that had granulated/proud flesh. I got the vet out who was a bit useless in all honesty so found about spmething called equiaide and it did a brilliant job at mending the would. The hairs grown back over but there is just a bit of a hard lump. So I was wondering if there's anything i can use to reduce it all?

Sorry sounds like a strange question but thought I would ask just in case anyone had a good tips? Many thanks!

Thanks! Will look into both. Was possibly thinking about trying bio oil, not sure if it will work!?

I was told bio oil works wonders. One of mine was a sort of rescue and has terrible scars on her hinds and stifles. Wish someone had bothered with her .

I put bio oil on her to make sure she's comfortable but it was so long ago its way past the point of no return.
