Reduction in livery in exchange for stable duties?

What reduction in livery would you expect if you did the following things for the yard owner’s horse:

• Winter – one day a week full muck out to include removal of a week’s worth of wet.
• All year – poo pick (summer out 24/7, winter in overnight)

Would it make any difference if yard owner could turn out and/or bring in your horse every weekday?

I would do those things in return for all year round morning turn out as mornings are difficult for me.

If we took out the exchange of duties and purely looked at a monetry reduction..... I pay £25 per week DIY and in return for those duties I would probaly expect to pay £8-10.

But that's just me....
 
I'd work out what id be prepared to work for per hour if i was being paid then roughly how long it would take- Go from there.
I used to do stuff in return for straw/hay etc when i was younger and looking back i was probably paying a rediculous price for hay and straw so be careful!
 
I've done duties for reduced livery before now. Usually figure out how many hours work it is, something like mucking out & poo picking £6 an hours fair as you're there anyway. Obviously more for something requiring skill.
Think assisted diy charge about £1-£2 for turnouts so work it out from that if its exchange of duties.
 
I do jobs for cheaper livery. We have a big notice up at the yard of all the jobs and how much they cost. She turns mine out which is £1 and then rugs every morning which is 50p. But most Thursdays I finish hers off, which mines bringing in 5 and rugging 3. Earns my money, plus any more that I do.
