Reeds and Horses

Hi there,

Does anyone know if it is bad for horses to eat reeds? I've got a really wet field and its full of reeds, one of my neds snatched a mouthful the other day (reeds fenced off)???!!!

I believe some varieties ARE bad for horses. Is there any way you can identify which one you have?
