Just read your story and was somewhat dismayed that you gave credit to HSUS for the rescue. THAT IS NOT CORRECT.
The horses were rescued by the Humane Society of North Texas http://www.hsnt.org/. They are not connected in any way to the HSUS, and I don't think any other equine rescue in the USA would claim to be.
We are NOT PROUD of the HSUS who have become a rather reactionary organization, who promote "Animal Rights", rather than animal welfare.
PLEASE do your homework and do not promote these money sucking leeches.
