I want to register my horse next year with BSJA. He is a 8 year old German WB who has never been registered before.

Is it correct to believe BSJA will add money automatically onto his record as he was imported unless I can prove he didn't jump outside the UK previously?

If so, can the fact he was registered and competed in BD as a 4 year old in the UK be used as confirmation? His import papers have been lost over the years (he was shipped about a bit before I bought him)

Hi, yes they probably, will unless you e-mail Holland, Belgium and Germany and get his competition record from them and send them on to the BSJA, then they will just put the actual on, which in his case should be nil. You will need to e-mail them, PAssport number, Sire, Dam, Date of Birth, Country of Orgin and Microchip number if he has one. The e-mail addresses are, Holland - info@knhs.nl, Belgium - info@equibel.be, Germany fn@fn-dokr.de. I actually found them all very prompt at replying!!

Good Luck!

Yeah, tell me about it! They want to add about £300 to his card - I know he can jump but seriously!!lol!!

He was imported as a dressage horse so I guess no-one worried about what what happening with BSJA before I got him - fingers crossed I get a result with the email

And that is why you should always look at a horse print out. They can in theory be sold as Grade A having never set foot in the ring.
