regumate help pls

just given first dose and when i went back two hours later my mare seemed very dosy as if doped has this had same effect on anyone elses horse , little worried about it thanks debra

I wouldn't imagine it's worked that quickly. Takes a few days to get through their system. How much did you give her?

I agree with K_a_C... I wouldn't have thought it would have got in her system so quickly. Maybe she was just sleepy because you had been and done and then she usually goes to sleep...

hi thanks but no my mare is very alert and nervy all the time this was odd , she is having the regumater to stop her season as she gets colic , i sometimes have to give her sedazine for shoeing ect and she is very reactive to that too . i gave one dose of regumate which the vet said to give her didnt realise it would have a calming effect too she relly did look doped and iam worried about riding he if she is like that from its effects we are at a show today so hope she has woken up . maybe she will get used to it after a few doses.
