My nag is on regumate pretty much solid from March through to about September as she is very seasonal and quite dangerous at times.
This year however I have noticed that it doesnt appear to be quite as effective as in the past (she is 7 and has been on it since 5 so this is her third year). She is very affected when her field mates are in season, get very clingy, has separation anxiety and has at times tried to mount them
Some of the things she used to do when in season herself
Apart from being a randy old bird, could this be a sign she is getting 'used' to the regumate? Is this possible? She is on regumate porcine.
Or is it perhaps a case of upping the dose a little? She gets one pump in her feed every evening - she is approx 660kg but its nigh on impossible to do 'a pump and a half' with the bottles i have
Any thoughts? thanks so much in advance!
